Hey friend - you're here, so I'm going to assume we're like-minded.
We're doing our best ... but get it wrong sometimes. Maybe a lot of times.
We care what others think and feel.
We're trying out darndest to live a life of meaning and contribution.
We're doing everything we can to keep ourselves together for those we love and lead.
Well sweet friend let's do this thing called life together. I'll explain why:
In 2009, I was directing a Long Day Centre and speaking with a Human Resource Officer. This was our first meeting and we hit it off immediately. When she mentioned she'd be on annual leave the following week, I assumed she was going on holidays and asked where she was going. She shared she wasn't going on holidays - she was completing a Life Coaching qualification.
I'd never heard of Life Coaching but something in my lit up. Something in my physically responded - you can call that a sign from the Universe, my soul or a spirit guide. The name's irrelevant 'cause the rest, so they say, is history.
I began my studies that year. The skills and perspectives I gained from that time - and all the additional study since - have saved me in hard times and blown my mind with what's possible in others. Many times over. And I love to remember this, so I have a poster in my office that reads 'I still remember the days I dreamt of the things I have now.'
At first the improvements were slow and small. A new personal boundary. A little higher self-belief. A new financial goal. A new business.
Then, in 2020, it's like the snowball had gained momentum. From 2020-2025 I quadrupled my work identity, 3x my financial investments, deepened relationships and set even stronger boundaries when needed. All while going through the HARDEST & SADDEST years of my life.
But most the most valuable growth was the capacity to get through hard things. This created an emotional freedom I'd never known. Once afraid of emotions, I found a space in myself where I BELIEVED I could get through anything.
For a high school failure and depressed teen mum, that's worth every financial and time investment I've made in coaching.
But my story isn't the only evidence coaching's life changing. Here's more reasons ⬇️
Life coaching is the second fastest growing industry in the world and has increased by 60% since 2019.
With the deserved respect and understanding of the benefit of mental wellbeing and emotional intelligence on the quality of life, those statistics are understandable.
Add the impacts of COVID, increased financial and relationship challenges, as well as greater access to online tools, it's no wonder people are seeing life coaching as necessary as the gym, tv subscriptions or that weekly take-out.

In the interim, let me reassure you:
- it's not 'another thing you have to do'. Coaching is sitting back and chatting for about an hour a week. You don't need to prep or do homework.
- there's no need to worry about 'not being able to commit to the same time each week'. Life happens. You'll shoot me a text and we'll reschedule. Easy.
- I don't judge. I've got my own 'stuff'! We're all human doing a human experience. My goals for people to have someone to talk to, to feel supported and to start seeing their life in empowering ways.
- if you think you can't afford it, ask if you can afford NOT to improve your mental and emotional capacity!
- it's not 'selfish' to invest in yourself. Yes, you could spend that time and money on your children, but I promise, you'll NEVER regret investing in being able to hold the space for your children's emotions. I'm saying this as a mum to adult children. You've no idea how your children might need you through their teen or adult years and you'll be glad you worked on YOU before them 💗 What if their best friend passes away, they suffer from mental health crisis, they travel the world solo, their partner cheats on them, they lose a career opportunity? The cards that life deal are unpredictable. Like putting a seatbelt on before driving, life coaching is hoping for a fun drive but being prepared for the unexpected brake.
Just in case, you're still on the fence, here's 25 reasons life coaching might be EXACTLY the thing you need!
